You Don’t Realize How Far You’ve Come

Sometimes you’re so focused on where you want to be that you forget to notice how far you’ve already come.

You forget the nights you couldn’t sleep because your mind was too loud.
You forget the days when even getting out of bed felt like lifting a mountain.
You forget the problems that once scared you — the ones you’ve already survived.

You’ve grown more than you give yourself credit for.

The person you are today is stronger, softer, wiser, and more patient than the person you used to be.
Even if you don’t feel it, even if the progress seems slow, you are not the same.
Your heart understands more.
Your mind handles things differently.
Your spirit carries lessons that took years to learn.

Growth isn’t always loud.
Sometimes it looks like choosing peace over reacting.
Sometimes it looks like walking away from what drains your soul.
Sometimes it’s finally saying, “I deserve better.”

And you do.

You deserve better days, kinder people, and a life that doesn’t hurt to live.
You deserve joy without guilt.
You deserve rest without shame.
You deserve love that doesn’t make you question your worth.

So pause for a moment.
Look at yourself the way someone who truly cares about you would look:
with softness, with pride, with understanding.

You’ve survived storms others don’t even know about.
You’ve carried battles quietly.
You’ve rebuilt yourself again and again.

You’re still here.
You’re still trying.
You’re still growing.

And even if the journey feels long,
you are much farther than you think.
